Genea Foster is originally from New York City, and moved to Massachusetts to attend Wellesley College where she studied Environmental Studies and Biology.  Since graduating, Genea has been serving as a Massachusetts Promise Fellow enhancing environmental literacy and supporting community action for youth in Lynn. At The Food Project, Genea coordinates the Dirt Crew program on the North Shore and supports the development of Dirt Crew members through Serve and Grow and Build-a-Garden facilitation and leading them in the learning and assessment of our social and food justice curriculum. Her professional interests lie in environmental justice, coalition building, and urban planning. Outside of work, Genea enjoys nature walks, listening to live music, watching television/movies, dancing, road trips, and cooking.
