Local Food Resources

A few years ago, The Food Project's youth interns compiled a guide to local food in the three counties in Massachusetts:  Essex, Plymouth and Suffolk.  Since that time, many more markets and CSAs have sprung up in the area.

Fortunately, there is now a comprehensive and regularly updated online Local Food Guide to Metro Boston where you can find local produce, meat, dairy, seafood, and even some restaurants that feature local food! The guide is powered by farmfresh.org, a New England nonprofit dedicated to helping people find their local producers and products.

Another good resource is the Boston Localvores site, which includes listings and a blog dedicated to local food in the Boston area.

The Food Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
