When does Dirt Crew start?

Dirt Crew begins in early September and continues through late-May. 

What are the work hours?

Dirt Crew members work every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during optional after-school hours.

How much are Dirt Crew members paid?

Dirt Crew members are paid by the hour. 

What should youth wear to work?

Everyone is required to wear The Food Project gear to work. 

Will this program prepare youth for future jobs?

Youth will learn valuable skills in communication, cooperation, self-discipline, problem-solving, team work, and perseverance. They’ll also gain new perspectives about service, social justice, work, life, and themselves. In addition, working with The Food Project enhances job resumes and college applications.
