Directions: Munroe Street Farm

By Car from 128 South:

Take exit 28 towards Centennial Drive off of 128 South. At the top of the exit ramp, continue straight towards the North Shore Cancer Center. Go through the lights and continue following the road past the Cancer Center.

The road dead-ends into Summit. Take a Right onto Summit. Follow Summit through the traffic light with Lynnfield Street. Continue straight until the road dead-ends into Lynn Street.

Turn Right onto Lynn Street. Continue on Lynn Street for approximately 2 miles through Peabody. This road turns into Broadway once you cross into Lynn.

Take a Left onto Euclid Ave. (Minos Roast Beef will be on the left corner). Follow Euclid for approximately 2 miles. The road takes a number of turns around Flax Pond. Once the road straightens out, Flax Pond will be on your right. Continue on Euclid past St. Pius Church and a small Post Office. Cross over the traffic light with Chestnut Street (also known as Route 129). Euclid is now called Maple Street. Continue on Maple St. until it intersects with Western Ave., also known as Route 107.

Follow 107 for about a mile. Turn Left at the traffic light onto Washington Street. Pass the Police Station (on the left), and the Lynn courthouse (on the right). You will pass a Hess station at the intersection with Liberty Street. Continue approximately 2 blocks beyond the Hess Station. You will pass Andrew Street, Oxford Street, and Munroe Street.

Once you reach the Oxford Street & Munroe Street area, find on-street parking. There is plenty of it. Munroe Street is a one-way street, so you cannot take a right turn at this point. However, once you park, you will want to walk back to this intersection to reach our front door.

The Food Project's office is at the intersection of Washington Street and Munroe Street, diagonally across from "Tacos Lupita". From this intersection, walk down Munroe Street and the farm will be on the right side.

By Car from 1A South:

Follow Route 1A through Vinnan Square south towards Swampscott / Lynn.
Cross over the border from Swampscott into Lynn at Ocean Ave. Continue on Route 1A towards downtown Lynn. 1A is called Lewis Street at this point. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles. 1A is now called Broad Street. Continue on Broad Street / 1A until you reach the Commuter Rail / Bus Station. The Commuter Rail station is at the intersection of Broad Street and Market Street.

Turn Right onto Market Street. Take your first Right onto Munroe Street. Follow Munroe Street for 1 block until number 120.

The farm is on the left side, just before Washington Street. There is a large green sign above our office door.

By Car from 128 North:

Take exit 44B off of 128 South, following signs towards Danvers. Once on the exit ramp, you will see the Lynn Rotary. Follow the rotary past a Dunkin’ Donuts, and take the first exit (also known as Route 129) towards Lynn.
Follow 129 for approximately 2.5 miles. You will pass Union Hospital. Route 129 will take you into Wyoma Square. Continue on 129 down a stretch with several banks (East Boston Savings Bank & Sovereign Bank are a couple of examples).

You will come to an intersection with a traffic light and Flax Pond on the left. At this point, you want to follow the road to the right, following signs for “Downtown Lynn”. Once you cross through the traffic light, you will be on Boston Street. Continue for about ¾ or 1 mile.

Turn Left onto Washington Street. There will be a large Stop-and-Shop in front of you, towards the left. Once you turn onto Washington Street, the Stop-and-Shop will be on your Right. Follow Washington Street for approximately 1 mile. Pass the Police Station (on the left), and the Lynn courthouse (on the right). You will pass a Hess station at the intersection with Liberty Street. Continue approximately 2 blocks beyond the Hess Station. You will pass Andrew Street, Oxford Street, and Munroe Street.

By Car from 1A North:

Take 1A North (Lee Burbank Highway, Lynnway) through Revere into Lynn.

Follow signs for “Downtown Lynn” and turn left onto Market Street. Follow Market Street about 2 blocks, and turn right onto Munroe Street.

The farm is on the left before the intersection of Munroe Street & Washington Street.

By Public Transportation:

Travel on the Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Rail line to Lynn/Central Square Station. Exit the station and turn to the right towards Munroe Street. Turn right on Munroe Street. The farm is on the left side before the intersection of Munroe Street & Washington Street.
