Directions: Ingalls School Farm

By Foot from Public Transportation

Travel to Lynn/Central Station (accessible by bus and the Rockport/Newburyport Commuter Rail)
1. Walk 3/4 mile North on Union Street (away from Broad Street) to dead end.
2. Turn left onto Chestnut Street
3. Turn right onto Essex Street.
4. Turn left onto Fayette Street,
5. Turn right onto Orange Court.
6. Continue on Orange Court until you reach the farm (straight ahead).

From Points South/Boston

1. Take I-93 North to Route 1 North (follow signs for the Tobin Bridge).
2. Continue on Route 1 North to Route 16 East toward Revere/Lynn.
3. Follow Route 16 East to a rotary (intersection with Route 60).
4. Continue around rotary and out onto Route 1A North.
5. Pass the Wonderland T station, continue through Revere and into Lynn.
6. Follow signs for 'Downtown Lynn'.
7. Turn left at a traffic light onto Market Street (following signs for the Commuter Rail).
8. Take an immediate right from Market Street onto Broad Street.
9. Continue North on Broad Street (Route 1A North) to Lafayette Park.
10. Turn left onto Lafayette Park, continue around "Goldfish Pond",
and remain on Lafayette Park. Continue straight, and it will become Fayette Street.
11. Pass a fire station on the right, and continue across the intersection (with Essex Street) to remain on Fayette Street.
12. Turn right onto Fayette Court. The Ingalls School will be directly in front of you.
13. Turn left and then right to get to the driveway and the field. Proceed beyond the “Do Not Enter” sign to park in the back parking lot.

From Points West - Route 128 North

1. Take exit 44B for 129 East towards Lynn/Swampscott. At the rotary, continue following signs for 129 East to Lynn/Swampscott.
2. You will stay on Route 129 for approx. 2 miles. There will be a traffic light, and a fork in the road where 129 continues to the right towards downtown Lynn.
3. At this traffic light, stay to the left to enter onto 129A towards Swampscott. (Just after this intersection there will be a park with a pond on the left-hand side).
4. 129A turns into Chestnut Street.
5. Continue on Chestnut Street for approximately 1.5 miles until it intersects with Essex Street.
6. Turn left onto Essex Street.
7. Take your first left onto Fayette Street.
8. Take your first right onto Fayette Court just beyond the Laundromat (it looks like a small alley).
9. The Ingalls School will be directly in front of you.
10. Turn left and then right to get to the driveway and the field. Proceed beyond the “Do Not Enter” sign to park in the back parking lot.

From Points North/East - Route 1A South:

1. Turn Right onto Lafayette Street from Route 1A/Lewis Street.
2. Follow the road to the right, around Goldfish Pond and past the fire station (on the right).
3. Proceed across Essex Street; road becomes Fayette Street.
4. Take your first right onto Fayette Court just beyond the Laundromat (it looks like a small alley).
5. The Ingalls School will be directly in front of you.
6. Turn left and then right to get to the driveway and the field. Proceed beyond the “Do Not Enter” sign to park in the back parking lot.

From Points North/East - Route 128 South:

1. From 128 South take the Centennial Drive Exit (exit 28) towards Peabody. This is the exit directly after Lowell Street.
2. The off-ramp will wind to the right. You’ll come to a traffic light by the North Shore Cancer Center. Continue through the traffic light and turn Right onto Summit Street.
3. Stay on Summit, continue through the traffic light at Lynnfield Street (a video store and shopping plaza will be on your left).
4. Continue until the street dead-ends into Lynn Street (at a traffic light). Turn right onto Lynn Street.
5. Continue on Lynn Street for approximately 2 miles.
6. Lynn Street intersects with 129 West at Wyoma Square. There will be a 7-11 on your right, and a clock and billboards directly in front of you.
7. Turn left onto 129 towards Swampscott.
8. Stay on 129 until the fork in the road (and traffic light intersection with 129A). Stay to the left to continue on 129A.
9. 129A turns becomes Chestnut Street. Continue on Chestnut Street for approximately 1.5 miles until it intersects with Essex Street.
6. Turn left onto Essex Street.
7. Take your first left onto Fayette Street.
8. Take your first right onto Fayette Court just beyond the Laundromat (it looks like a small alley).
9. The Ingalls School will be directly in front of you.
10. Turn left and then right to get to the driveway and the field. Proceed beyond the “Do Not Enter” sign to park in the back parking lot.
