Important Update Regarding Executive Director J. Harrison

As many of you know, The Food Project’s Executive Director J. Harrison has been out on medical leave since April of this year. While J.’s condition is improving every day and he is optimistic about making a full recovery, his treatment is taking longer than anticipated. In order to devote his time and energy fully to his health and recovery, J. has made the difficult decision to step down from his role as Executive Director at The Food Project.

Board Chair Linda McQuillan, who has been serving as interim executive director since April, will continue in that role until a permanent executive director can be named. A committee of Food Project trustees, alumni, and former staff will oversee the search process in collaboration with our executive team to identify and interview qualified candidates for the executive director role.

Dudley Greenhouse Advisory Committee Nominations Now Open

The Dudley Greenhouse is a special place: a 10,000-square-foot greenhouse in the Dudley neighborhood of Roxbury that serves as a year-round food production space and a resource hub for gardeners and residents of the community. The Dudley Greenhouse was built in 2004 by the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI), which leases it to The Food Project to oversee vegetable production and to partner with community members and organizations to run programming.
